Musk, Polish Minister Trade Barbs
The dispute flared up after Sikorski alleged that Musk was “making money on war crimes” and challenged him over why he had failed to prevent “Russians from using Starlink.”
Earlier, Sikorski circulated an analysis from the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW), which asserted that Russian troops are increasingly relying on Starlink satellites, operated by Musk’s SpaceX, to coordinate drone strikes in Ukraine.
According to ISW, unmanned aerial vehicles such as the BM-35, Shahed, and Molniya are being equipped with Starlink technology to boost their operational reach and enhance targeting precision.
“Hey, big man, why don’t you stop the Russians from using Starlinks?” Sikorski posted on Tuesday.
Musk responded sharply the following day, writing: “This drooling imbecile doesn’t even realize that Starlink is the backbone of Ukraine’s military communications.”
This latest spat is not the first confrontation between Musk and Sikorski. In December of last year, Musk advocated for dismantling the European Union, posting that “EU bureaucracy is slowly smothering Europe to death” and contending that authority should be restored to individual nations so their governments can more effectively represent their populations.
